Today we are going to be talking with James Fahy. James writes everything from science fiction, urban gothic, steampunk to fantasy. It is his fantasy book "The Drowned Tomb" that will be the start of this interview. It is a dreamy, fantastical book that brings us into the life of Robin and his chance to find out who and what exactly is in the drowned tomb. There are nymphs, kraken, and actual people that bring the reader through the first page to the last, and wanting more when it is over. On a purely personal level, I loved this book. It is a treat to read well written fantasy. When reading fantasy it is easy to get into the mood that anything can happen in a fantasy book. But that is not true. Everything must be grounded in some way – and to keep the characters to stay within their own powers is a very tricky thing to manage. Plus, the author must be involved in the story 100% to make sure that the plot does not start to meander all over the place. Also, I don't think that I was the average age of the typical reader of "The Drowned Tomb" yet it pulled me in and kept me reading into the wee hours of the night.
