TW: Discussions of sexual assault occur in this conversation. This episode of the podcast comes at an extremely sensitive time, after the tragic murder of Sarah Everard in London. Over the past week, women have been sharing their stories of feeling unsafe, threatened or at risk as a result of the presence and behaviour of men. As a response, the hashtag has surfaced on various social media platforms, to represent the stance of men feeling they are unfairly being grouped with murderers and rapists. The collective suffering of women is a deep, traumatic wound that, right now, is open and on display for the world to see. In this conversation, Ben Bidwell and I try to answer the question "How can men help women feel safe?" As mentioned in the introduction to this episode, this is two men trying their best to understand a situation that we are undeniably ignorant to.
