I know I said Season 1 had come to a close but this episode was so powerful and helpful I just couldn't keep it from you! Due to a personal loss and so many national and international tragedies, 2017 was one of the hardest years of our lives (mine and my husband's). I know that we're not alone. As we close on 2017 and move into 2018, I thought we could all use some insight and support from someone who has been on the frontlines of helping others cope with trauma and disasters - Pat Stepler MS, MFT. This episode will give you tangible, evidence-based ways to seek care for yourself and effectively support your children when disaster strikes your family, town, country or world. Do not miss it! BIO: Pat believes that healing occurs through supportive and nurturing relationships. She has counseled children, families, and adolescents in crisis for over 15 years and currently has a private practice in Ventura, CA where she treats children, adolescents, women, and families. She has clinical expertise in the areas of anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders. Pat holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work with a minor in Substance Abuse Studies from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University.
