Episode 3: Addiction

I'll keep this description short and sweet. Addiction can be a very difficult subject to talk about, especially since admitting to being an "addict" can cast a negative shadow on you and alienate you for your loved ones. I'm so proud of my friend Megan for being so transparent about her struggles with addiction, choosing to share her story now that she's at a better place in her recovery, and allowing me to share some of my experiences in return. To Megan: I love you. I'm proud of you. You are everything and I'm so glad you're here. It's a confidential, free, 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year, information service, in English and Spanish, for anyone facing mental and/or substance use disorders. They also provide referrals to local treatment facilities, support groups, ect.
