Encouraging children gardeners is a concept and practice that is ubiquitous in parenting groups, elementary schools as well as homeschool communities throughout the United States and abroad! Maree is the Director of Mission and Garden Relations at KidsGardening.org and has a diverse background in regional and national gardening associations. Maree has served as regional Director of the Garden Writers Association, as a board member the American Community Gardening Association and as Director of Public Relations and Good Works at Gardner's Supply Company, the largest online gardening retailer in the U.S. She has a keen understanding of how to involve children in the garden, drawing upon her own experience - as a little girl, Maree's grandfather taught her to grown veggies and cook garden fresh produce. Today, Maree delights in seeing our youth grow and gain life skills though gardening. KidsGardening.org believes, "Learning through gardening should be an indispensable part of children's education and personal development."
