Today, we talk about the stages of life, especially the significance of youth, with a reference from Shivaji Savant’s famous book ‘Mrityunjay’ and Robert Browning's Rabbi Ben Ezra. पिछले अंक में बात की थी बच्चन परिवार के साथ घटी एक सड़क दुर्घटना की और किस तरह उनकी मधुशाला ने उन्हें एक मुसीबत से बचाया था। आज बात करते हैं जीवन की अवस्थाओं पर, विशेषकर - मानव जीवन में यौवन के महत्व की, यौवन के रंगों की, और यौवन के बीत जाने की। ढलक रही हो तन के घट से, संगिनि, जब जीवन-हाला; पात्र गरल का ले जब अंतिम साकी हो आनेवाला, हाथ परस भूले प्याले का, स्वाद-सुरा जीव्हा भूले; कानों में तुम कहती रहना, मधुकण, प्याला,मधुशाला ।।८१। गिरती जाती है दिन प्रतिदन प्रणयनी प्राणों की हाला; भग्न हुआ जाता दिन प्रतिदन सुभगे मेरा तन प्याला, रूठ रहा है मुझसे रूपसी, दिन दिन यौवन का साकी; सूख रही है दिन दिन सुन्दरी, मेरी जीवन मधुशाला ।।७९। वो काली काली बदलियाँ, उफ़ुक़ पे हो गईं अयाँ वो इक हुजूम-ए-मय-कशाँ, है सू-ए-मय-कदा रवाँ ये क्या गुमाँ है बद-गुमाँ, समझ न मुझ को ना-तवाँ ख़याल-ए-ज़ोहद अभी कहाँ, अभी तो मैं जवान हूँ -------------------- Thanks for listening :-) Do write a review and send your comments.
