Voting technology has been developing at a rapid pace in the 21st century; at this point, many communities in the United States use entirely electronic voting machines. However, these high-tech voting machines have significant security vulnerabilities which leave them open to attack from a variety of sources. In today's podcast, we'll learn about research at Rice which seeks to mitigate these threats and prepare communities to recover when an attack occurs. Host : Cannon Lewis , a Ph.D. student in the Computer Science Department at Rice University. Guest : Dan Wallach , Professor of Computer Science and of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Unconventional Computing is supported and produced by Rice University's Computer Science Department. Rice performs world-class research in the areas of Algorithms, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, Systems, Programming Languages, Software Engineering and Data Science.
