On this episode of N&H we explore the alarming rise of violence against nurses, its root causes, and the urgent need for systemic change with special guest and CEO/ Founder of Cortex Gold, Mel Cortez RN, BSN. Mel is a Registered Nurse and believes that now more than ever, bedside nurses, healthcare administrators, and security professionals need her support. Mel Cortez graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. As a Critical Care Travel Nurse for over 10 years, she has been in many facilities across the country.
