#1 Holly Wright - am I senior enough to experience it?

The Imposter Solution with Holly Wright, Executive Assistant at MUFG Bank. Holly has previous experience in both the legal and travel sectors. Holly has been at MUFG for 5 months, following redundancy from her previous role, due to the pandemic. Holly likes to push the boundaries of the EA role and regularly gets involved in business projects, with a particular interest in technology projects. Holly enjoys researching and learning and used her period of redundancy to reflect on her previous roles and knowledge gaps and gained some new skills. I met about 2 years ago and I’ve had the pleasure of having many conversations with Holly about her Imposter Syndrome and I’ve seen her own personal journey of discovery and overcoming it. Holly talks about her own career journey and when she first heard of Imposter Syndrome she wasn’t sure she was senior enough to experience it. Holly talks about how she held herself back from going to university and how her career was influenced by people who could see her potential. Holly also was set a 5 question challenge set by her mentor to help her look at how she looked at success and achievement. She shares what the challenge was and how it’s helped her but how it continues to help and inspire others. Holly also had to find a new role last year at the start of the pandemic and she shares some great advice what to do when looking for a new role and why it’s important to consider job offers and pick an environment that’s right for your personality type. As an employee Holly also shares her views on how she thinks companies should be broaching this subject and support employees experiencing this.
