Endometriosis is the presence of the lining of the womb or endometrium in areas outside of the uterus. It affects about 10% of women worldwide but the incidence is far higher in certain geographical areas. The internet is full of information about the disease yet one is never sure if the information is correct and relevant as per the current research available worldwide.
