Safiyya Vorajee speaks to me about her unthinkable journey of losing her beautiful baby girl Azaylia, at 8 months to an aggressive form of leukemia in 2021. Safs explains how she has survived the unimaginable pain of loss and how herself and Ashley Cain (Azaylia's father) have turned their pain into passion by creating the foundation The Azaylia Foundation supporting families that are also faced with disease. Saf tells us of the care they received and sourcing it overseas, what life is like after such a loss, how she copes with grief. This is a story of bravery, pain, community, humanity and brought me nothing but perspective. I am in awe of Saf and wish her and her family nothing but peace in the future.
