Jonathan and I talk through his whole career, beginning with the Sunderland FC fanzine, going all the way through to the creation and growth of The Blizzard , a brilliant print and online magazine containing some of the best long-form journalism about football from all around the world. Jonathan is an accomplished author and his deep understanding and academic approach to his subjects and his craft have resulted in him being one of the most sought-after writers about sport worldwide, as well as an acclaimed author for his writings about soccer tactics in the always-fascinating Inverting The Pyramid , his book about soccer in Eastern Europe, Behind The Curtain , and his biography of legendary football manager, Brian Clough, Nobody Ever Says Thank You .
