A fabulous episode this week, mes amis, as I was joined by the awesome Duke Special, aka Peter Wilson, for a journey through his music life and times. A questing musician drawing on a wide range of diverse range of influences and art forms for his inspiration, Duke has been making marvellous music and aweing audiences over the course of a celebrated career. That voyage continues with the release next year of his new album, Look Out Machines, which sees him again strive for something new, incorporating electronic instruments into a new set of songs, the first fruits of which can be seen and heard at the Duke Special YouTube channel . Duke has again embraced the crowdfunding model to bring this new work to his legion of fans, and you can see the types of exclusive content and special experiences still on offer to pledgers - from signed albums and merch through to the chance to join Duke as he attempts to break the world record for the most live shows in 24 hours in March - at the Duke Special Pledge Music page . Get on board. Duke is playing an extensive run of shows across Ireland in January and February to promote the album and each night is sure to be something special. The tour begins on Thursday, January 15 at the Market Place Theatre in Armagh and will visit Manorhamilton, Sligo, Cork, Waterford, Wexford, Navan, Castleblaney, Culdaff, Antrim, Sownpatrick, Kildare, Kilkenny, Tinahely, Slane, Dundalk, Killorglin and Galway before ending at Dolans in Limerick on February 28.
