Charles Kromann, a Research Fellow at the Centre for Clinical Education in Copenhagen, Denmark (Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen University Hospital, Copenhagen, Denmark) is also waiting for his defense date for his PhD, which focuses on an important and growing area of research within medical education – test-enhanced learning, which looks at the value of testing for pedagogical benefit rather than testing to see how much one has learnt.
