Welcome to Mindshift, a podcast by the Homecoming project that exists to equip and empower you to advocate on behalf of vulnerable children around the world. In this episode, host Krish Kandiah speaks to Kit Ying Chan about her personal journey and how she became passionate about helping vulnerable children in Hong Kong. Krish and Kit Ying talk about the importance of advocacy, cross-cultural learning, and how a greater understanding of the theology of adoption is needed to spur the Church into action on behalf of vulnerable children. We hope you are inspired by Kit Ying’s challenge to make a difference in just one child’s life. Dr Krish Kandiah, host and friend of the Homecoming project, is a government advisor in child welfare, an author, theologian, and activist based in the UK. Krish and his wife Miriam have six children through birth, adoption, and fostering. Kit Ying Chan is the Director of Community Services at Mother’s Choice in Hong Kong. Recorded in October 2019, this podcast was brought to you by the Homecoming project – because children thrive in families.
