In this episode, host Krish Kandiah speaks to Robby De Luzuriaga and Anton Putilin about their respective work in the Philippines and Kyrgyzstan, and how they are working with local faith communities and Government in order to effect change for vulnerable children in orphanages. They speak about both the challenges and opportunities they are finding as they engage with local churches on the importance of family-based care for children. Dr Krish Kandiah, host and friend of the Homecoming project, is a government advisor in child welfare, an author, theologian, and activist based in the UK. Krish and his wife Miriam have six children through birth, adoption, and fostering. Robby De Luzuriaga is the President of Philippines Without Orphans, World Without Orphans Regional Ambassador for Southeast Asia, and a member of the Global Advisory Council. Anton Putilin is the President of Kyrgyzstan Without Orphans, World Without Orphans Regional Ambassador for Central Asia, and a member of the Global Advisory Council.
