Inside the G-Base Podcast is a conversation with Green Berets hosted by D & J. Both D & J are combat experienced Special Forces Green Berets with tours in Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa, and other locations where America's foreign policy is carried out by silent professionals. In the SF team room, all topics are on the table, from politics and religion, to geopolitical strategy, international relations, counter-terrorism, and unconventional warfare. If you ever wanted to know what America's most elite forces talk about, step into the G-Base Episode 08 - Eating Our Own In this episode special guest and Green Beret, Jeff Adamac of Changing Hearts & Mind Podcast joins us in the studio to discuss the benefits and perils of being Quiet Professionals. It is necessary to find all our strengths, weaknesses, and breaking points before we ever reach the battlefield. But it also prevents us from sharing our experience, insight, and wisdom for what is going on in the world. It has created a stigma surrounding war fatigue and PTSD, we have become hyper-vigilant to call out even minor mistakes or slip ups. Through our code of silence have we become adversaries for those in our community who would seek help and need our advocacy and not our criticism. As Green Berets transitioning careers we struggle with what the acceptable level of voice and exposure to give to society at large. If we are truly as vulnerable as current events indicate, isn't it time for Green Berets to speak up and employ their professional acumen to benefit society? In doing so, are we running afoul of our Quiet Professional status? If you like what you hear, be sure to
