Guests: Dr. Brad Gustafson is an elementary principal in Minnesota. An innovative administrator, Brad has pioneered efforts to transform pedagogy to reflect best practices in a digital age. Brad is a TEDx and keynote speaker and author who exudes a passion for leadership that is palpable. Brad won the national Digital Innovation in Learning award from EdSurge and Digital Promise in 2015. He was an Academy of Education Arts and Sciences Bammy Award Finalist in the category of Elementary School Principal. His blog, Adjusting Course, was recognized with an Editor's Choice Content Award in 2015 by Smartbrief Education. It was also named as a "Must-Read" K-12 blog by EdTech Magazine. The blog was recognized as a finalist for Best Administrator Blog by the EduBlog Awards the past two years. Brad earned his Doctoral degree at Bethel University where his research focused on leading innovative professional development. You can connect with him on Twitter via @GustafsonBrad Amber Teamann currently serves as the principal of Whitt Elementary in Wylie, Texas. Previously, Amber served as a Title I Technology Facilitator and fourth grade teacher. As a Tech Director, Amber provided oversight for 17 different campuses and was responsible for helping staff and students navigate their digital abilities and responsibilities. Amber speaks at numerous conference, both locally and nationally, and has presented at ISTE, ASCD, and Learning Forward. In 2013, Amber worked with George Couros to develop and curate leadership with the "School Admin Virtual Mentoring Project", which connected over 400 educators worldwide in a digital space that nurtured and cultivated leadership. In 2015, she had the opportunity to speak in Washington DC about how crucial is it for today's educators to become strong models of digital leadership. In addition to blogging for Connected Principals , she is a firm believer in modeling a digital footprint. Michael Berry serves as the principal of Richmond Elementary School in Richmond, Vermont. Michael grew up in Gouverneur, New York and attended Castleton State College in Castleton, Vermont where he received a degree in Children's Literature and Elementary Education. He taught second grade and kindergarten in East Montpelier, Vermont for eight years before earning a Masters degree in Educational Leadership at Union Institute and University at Vermont College. Michael began his administrative career as the principal at Underhill Central School for three years. Michael lives in central Vermont with his wife, two daughters, a dog and one very grumpy cat.
