On Thursday 8 March 2018, International Women's Day, the High Commission of Canada in the UK hosted Global Women, to celebrate contributions of women and girls in global life and to learn about the unique challenges they face. Each speaker was asked to share one thing they would recommend to women in international life or beyond. Raquel Vazquez Lorente is a senior legal advisor at eyeWitness to Atrocities. One of Forbes top 30 under 30, she chose to focus her message on "believing in what you do" The event was held in partnership with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Department of International Trade, and Department for International Development.
