Dr. Mariel Buqué is a holistic psychologist and intergenerational trauma expert who holds both a PhD in psychiatry and a professorship from Columbia University. In this episode, we learn about intergenerational trauma, why therapists need therapists, and the neuroscience behind the emotions that can make us feel paralyzed. Gigi and Dr. Mariel discuss why understanding our trauma, no matter how small, can radically change our lives, and identify the trauma responses we all tend to write off (that we shouldn’t!).
