Every single day, every single moment, our minds are spinning. We may not notice it all the time because we're busy being distracted by the every day chaos of life. But as soon as we sit down to meditate, to find some quiet stillness, there it is; our mind buzzing with thoughts. This may make us feel like we cannot meditate but the trick is to begin to find the space between the thought. It's called the gap and it, like our thoughts, is always there as well. Meditation can help us to recognize this gap and slip into it and over time we can learn to expand this gap. One breath at a time.
