The heart of Christianity is not an idea, but a person: Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life, sent by the Father so that all who believe may share in eternal life. The early Christians proclaimed the Gospel with courage, not because of ideology, but because they had personally encountered the risen Lord. Their witness flowed from conviction, not obligation. Even in persecution, they could not remain silent because their lives had been transformed. In contrast, today’s hesitation to evangelise often comes from reducing faith to theory and trying not to offend others. True evangelisation is not about forcing beliefs or winning arguments; it is about sharing a living encounter. Reflection Question : What does my faith mean to me? Have I truly encountered Jesus in a personal way or is my faith just an ideology?
