In this episode of Your Second Opinion, Kenneth Bricker joins the Haym Salomon Center podcast host Mike Siegel to discuss how to ensure fair media coverage of Israel through education of journalism in the context of the conflict. Mr. Bricker is the senior press advisor for The Israel Project. This episode seeks to bring awareness about the slant the mainstream media has towards Palestine in terms of Israeli-Palestine relations. After listening to this episode, you will have a greater understanding of how the media is choosing to interpret the facts in Gaza and what can be done to ensure that Israel receives the fair press coverage that it deserves. Based in South Florida, Bricker works with the media on issues affecting Israel and the Middle East, the Jewish people and America's interests in the Middle East. His current portfolio includes senior editorial staff at 300 newspapers throughout the U.S; syndicated opinion columnists; Fox News; CNN; ABC News; NBC News; CBS News; Salem Radio Network; and all Florida media. Bricker served as senior adviser for psychological warfare operations at the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) in Afghanistan from 2010-2012. Prior to that, he worked on a variety of USAID-funded international development projects designed to counter violent extremism in the Middle East and South Asia. Prior to his career managing international development projects, Bricker served as senior spokesman for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC); director of communications for U.S. Senator Christopher Bond of Missouri; and deputy director of communications for the U.S. Indian Health Service.
