So when November rolled around and I was about a year away from graduating, I started to think about where I wanted to live and realized that I really had the potential to live anywhere. I decided that Thailand was as good a place as any to start and within a week I had a one-way ticket to Thailand booked for after graduation that only set me back $20. To get this plane ticket, the trick was credit card points. Now I think a lot of people have a negative association with credit cards and for good reason. Believe it or not, I think most people would do well to avoid the credit card rewards game because it can be very dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing. But, if you can practice a decent amount of self-control and follow a few relatively simple guidelines, it’s not at all difficult to replicate what I did.
