In another Yorkshire derby, Doncaster Rovers took the points in a 1-0 win over Barnsley, before winning by the same scoreline against Port Vale to offer hope of a strong finish to what has been a testing first season back in League One. Following last week’s sacking of Matt Hamshaw – which happened while last week’s podcast was being recorded – the Millers have moved swiftly to bring in a replacement in the shape of former Huddersfield Town boss Lee Clark. He had a tough start when overseeing a 3-0 defeat at runaway leaders Lincoln City, but it will have given him an insight into the size of the task he has been handed at the New York Stadium. Off the field, Tony Stewart has transferred the majority stake in the club to his son, Richard. Finally, Stuart singles out his Yorkshire-based Player of the Week, while Leon picks out which Yorkshire club is deserving of this week’s Team of the Week accolade.
