Esau Gets the Whole World

Join us this week for another sermon in our series on Genesis, continuing with chapter 36 verses 1-43. Genesis 36 is a genealogy that at first glance, may seem like a list of hard-to-pronounce names. But this chapter tells a dramatic and sobering story about the legacy of Esau. Esau has everything the world could offer—land, wealth, descendants, power, fame. His people become an established kingdom long before Israel. But something is missing. You don’t need less than Esau. You need more. You need God. Because everything without Jesus is nothing. But Jesus, without anything else, is everything.
