2x02 - Paper Cranes

This is a very special episode of Verbose Mode TV. Last month I was able to return to Camp One Step, a camp for kids who are going, or have gone, through cancer or Leukemia. Originally founded in 1978, they celebrated their 40th anniversary this year and I was grateful to be a counsellor this year. Partly because of the amazing work they do, but also because I was a camper myself back in 1986! In this episode I will talk about my time at camp and how I brought the maker mindset to camp, but, more importantly, how camp showed it to me in spades. I'll talk about the maker projects I brought with me and discuss the project(s) I'm preparing for next year. We'll talk about how I allowed the build-up to this amazing experience to override Verbose Mode and re-commit to it now that I'm back.
