Dr. Alexandra Birch ( presents her lecture and performance piece "Music and the Holocaust: Musical Stolpersteine and Recovered Music from the Holocaust" before an audience at Temple Chai ( in Phoenix, AZ. ABOUT THIS LECTURE: Dr. Alexandra Birch is a researcher and violinist who finds and performs lost music from the Holocaust in Europe and the former USSR. Join Dr. Birch as she discusses her most recent research, musical commemoration of the Holocaust, and the more unknown “Holocaust by Bullets” in the former USSR. She will also play samples and discuss five new pieces she has recorded. This event will be a memorable evening of scholarship, music, and remembrance.
