We are loved watching the Star Wars trilogy growing up. Most of us identified as a young Luke or Leah Skywalker who would save the day at one critical point in our future. We were the totally honest, naive, good-hearted heroes of our life story. We were the good guys. Who in their right mind would identify with The Empire as a child? Nobody. Do people still see themselves as heroes like Luke Skywalker, The Jedi, Han Solo, Leia, Obi-Wan, Chewbacca, C3PO and R2D2? Many of us have turned into CEO Darth Vader, The Emperor, Trade Federation pawns, Stormtroopers (militarized cops / ‘law’ enforcement), other sycophants and enablers of environmental, social and governance destruction. No one has a right to a job that poisons the environment, our water, air and soil, kills wildlife, destroys ecosystems and may end all human life on this planet. Is rationalizing what we do to our fellow man, wildlife and the natural world our only option?
