In this podcast I get to share with you my dear, courageous, strong friend, Lauren Barnett. Lauren is one of my most beautiful and eclectic friends and our conversation is going to prove it. Lauren most recently has been a housing advocate with Habitat for Humanity in Charlotte, North Carolina where affordable housing has been a crisis for years. The focus of our talk is on issues of power and culture, which led us into some pretty dynamic and diverse topics such as Beyoncé, the womanist movement, the purity movement, evangelicalism, finding a church where she can exist as a black woman, the nature of kingdom work and the meaning of spiritual formation.
