In fact, one of my earliest memories is of him on the playground of our primary school, his eyes greedily devouring the manual for his favourite game, Doom. In the 20-something years since, very little has changed. In the final episode of Season One, Unlimited Hyperbole investigates Ben's belief that Doom is a literally perfect game, his efforts to share it with the people he loves and the perceived fall of ID Software. Unlimited Hyperbole is a weekly podcast about videogames and the stories we tell about them. The show is divided into seasons of five episodes, each with a topic that’s used as a prompt when interviewing special guests.
