#25 What Kind Of Jail Do YOU Live In?

Diken Patel is a co-creator of a Swaraj Jail University , a real institution in India and the purpose of this university is not to teach the inmates so they can learn, because no one can teach us anything unless we are willing to learn! This university is about connection on a deeper level of being. The Swaraj Jail University project began in October 2018 with the purpose of prototyping a self-designed learning program in the Udaipur Jail. The purpose is to help inmates explore their passions, gain practical skills, and re-ignite self-esteem, leadership and life vision in the face of the numerous challenges of incarcerated life. The inmates are invited to design their own personalized learning programs based on their interests and needs. Everyone is a teacher and a learner in the Jail University.
