God has built rest into our biological makeup. We have to sleep. We have to stop and rest our bodies and minds. God modeled rest for us during creation. God rested after He created the world implying that His creative work is complete and He now rules over it. He didn’t design us to strive all the time. Rest is a divine gift from God.
