Shelly Shelton: Surviving Divorce

Statistics show that every 13 seconds a divorce is finalized in America. This social issue within our society results in broken homes, broken hearts, and hopelessness. In 2015, Shelly Shelton became a part of that statistic after her 20 year relationship with the love of her life ended in a divorce without warning. Even after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, Shelly says the heart break of her divorce was 10 times more painful than anything she'd ever experienced. For years, Shelly struggled with depression and thoughts of taking her own life. Until one day she learned how to smile through her storm.
