066: Escaping a Cult with Leah Garcia

Leah Garcia's parents joined the Apostolic United Brethren (AUB) when she was 10 years old. The main purpose of the AUB is to marry multiple women and have as many children as possible in order to gain access to the "Kingdom of Heaven." Leah left the cult when she was 16. This shattered the relationship with her family, and she had to adjust to living in the outside world all alone. I'm not going to give away any of her story in the show notes because it's that captivating. She now lives a happy life, married, with a daughter.
