The climate that has given rise to civilisation as we know it is changing, the climate of the future will be very different from that of the past. This has huge implications for how we grow food, where we live, how we move around, how we communicate, the way we build infrastructure, and indeed for the ecosystems on which we and the rest of life on earth depend.
