In February 2026, Steve Wright pleaded guilty to the murder of 17-year-old Vicky Hall, a crime he committed seven years before he became known as the Suffolk Strangler. But the night before he killed Vicky, he stalked another young woman through the streets of Felixstowe for almost an hour. She escaped. She reported it. The police dismissed her and told her to forget about it. The following night, Wright went back out.
