Two sabotage attempts have been made in three months targeting Punjab's dedicated freight railway corridor. On 27 April, the Punjab Police busted a terror module behind a botched attempt to damage a railway line near the Sambhu border. On 23 January, an explosion near the Khanpur railway crossing in Sirhind, damaged the newly built dedicated freight corridor (DFC).
