The entrepreneur side: As a dentist, Dr. Laskin couldn't find a secure way to transfer patient information within his office or externally, so he created OperaDDS, a HIPAA-compliant communication system for dentists and medical providers. The software is free and is now being used in hundreds of dental offices across the country. Dr. Laskin is also the founder of Lake Minnetonka Dental.
