Ep. 150: Envy Is A Great Teacher

Today's Words of Wisdom Wednesday podcast episode is about envy and jealousy. When we're jealous of others, it often teaches us about our deepest desires, which can be turned into something positive. In order to see something in others, we have to be able to possess that ourselves. Therefore, if we're jealous of another person's relationship status and ability to attract love into their life, we are also identifying something we, ourselves, are capable of having as well. I discuss this topic because it's been something that has been frustrating and enlightening in my own life. Realizing the power that envy had in my life revealed some of my unresolved issues which in turn, resulted in positive and uplifting perspectives. However, I first had to acknowledge how frustrated I was when I'd confront anything that resembled jealousy-related emotions. With the recent impact that social media has on our mental and emotional health, this episode is meant to encourage self-awareness as we are exposed to a plethora of highlight reels online.
