Great tracks by The Please & Thank Yous , the Power Pellets , The Slats , Super Bowl Rocket Ship , and Citycop . On this episode are The Please & Thank Yous from Chicago. They've been around for four years and have two releases out. Check out their bandcamp for more great tunes. Another great band, but no longer around, are the Power Pellets . I've been listening to these guys for a while now, but never had the good fortune to see them live. I think the first time I ever heard a bass guitar solo was on their track, Classmate, another great song by them. The Slats come from Minnesota, a band of many sounds, playing garage rock tunes to experimental stuff. Really fun to listen to. Super Bowl Rocket Ship is a four piece from Nashville, TN. They have a great set of jams and hopefully release more material this year. They also have one the coolest band-names ever. If the guitarist for Citycop played with an electric guitar, it'd change the whole dynamic of the band's sound. But it still sounds pretty rad with an acoustic. Another band to definitely check out. They also have a bunch of shows coming up this month too. Wish I could make it to one of them. - Also, I decided to put the Shows section back up. Lot's of shows this month, with a great one coming up on St.Patty's Day (And I'm sure a few others in different cities). And I'm sure a bunch more shows considering it's Spring Break this month.
