She was eventually diagnosed with an extremely rare and fatal autoimmune disease that few doctors are able to treat. In 2020, she suffered a stroke, and in 2022 she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Lois documented her three-year journey of meditation and prayer in her book, Dear Lord, I Am Listening. Her hope is that the message in her book will provide people of all walks of life, convictions and generations with inspiration, faith, hope, and love.
