Much of her work has been focussing on the Rāmāyaṇa and also the Kathāsaritsāgara . Among her teachers were A.K. Ramanujan , Alf Hiltebeitel and Wendy Doniger . She also mentions Martha Selby , as well as Phil Lutgendorf and his work on the Ramcaritmanas .
