Returning to the Tongue & Tail butcher shop, Crystal discovers a supernatural case in their own home as she learns her housemate Niko has been infested with some Dandelion Sprites. Working together the Dead Boy Detectives extract the angry tiny beings but Niko’s near death experience has enabled her to see the ghostly investigators. Meanwhile the witch Esther creates a real boy out of her Crow familiar to get her revenge on the investigators and in the Afterlife, Night Nurse gets the trail of the escaped dead boys and sets up her investigation to return them to their rightful place. Still stuck in Port Townsend, the Dead Boy Detectives and their new medium have loads of new clients. They choose a case that most fits their needs and investigate the 30 year old murder of the Devlin Family. When they investigate the haunted family home they learn that the nightmarish murder has been repeating over and again. When Charles tries to intervene and gets caught in the loop, Edwin realises it was caused by the invasive security camera. He and Crystal wipe the security camera freeing the family from the eternal nightmare. In the Afterlife the young Devlin daughters delightedly share the story of the ghosts that saved them with The Night Nurse, who desperately needs details to locate them.
