A winner of the International Dublin Literary Award, Lusielli is the author of five books, including “ Tell Me How It Ends: An Essay in 40 Questions ” and “ Lost Children Archive .” A new novel, “ Beginning Middle End ,” from which this story was adapted, will be published in July.
