The True Crime genre spans books, TV shows, cinema, and most recently, podcasts. The public keeps a consistent interest in the topic, perhaps in hope to understand why humans commit crimes. In this episode we take a look at the section of True Crime that may be most fascinating, murder. We feature: Helter Skelter, the 1976 TV movie about the Charles Manson Cult murders. The Oscar winning film Monster, based on the crimes of Aileen Wuornous. Zodiac: based on the book by Robert Graysmith, which details the hunt for the infamous Zodiac killer. All are compelling films that keep us thinking about human nature and cinema's roll in its portrayal.
