Today I sat down with Bridge Capital founder and CEO, Scott Gruber. Scott comes from the institutional bond business, having been a salesman, a sales manager and having started bond floors for large investment banks. After exiting that business, Scott decided to feed his appetite for something more entrepreneurial. I was there when he and some partners started Bridge Capital to serve as a lender to the investor market. They filled a gap when the real estate crisis hit and the banks wouldn't give loans to real estate investors. I thought it was a solid niche business that would exist until traditional banks decided to re-enter sector. Bridge Capital has flourished and has expanded to serve several different markets across the country. Listen in and you'll hear why.
