For decades (over 100 years) the western nations have been brought to believe that pharmaceuticals are the solution to illness. But what if there is a different way? What if the reason the current western medical system is currently in a state of collapse is because it's time for something new... something better? Important note about this episode: whilst I may be suggesting that the doctor-driven system needs to be changed, I am in no way directly criticizing doctors , who themselves mostly have excellent caring intentions to help their patients. I am rather pointing out the failings of the system itself , with its predominant focus on addressing the end result of illness rather than the cause, and the overarching focus on medication as a solution, which clearly has its limitations, and can even cause much harm. It's time we look beyond needing to rely on medication as the main route to solving illness, because it clearly does not work.
