Today's guest is my good friend Alicia Tilman AKA Awkward Yoga girl! she's absolutely one of the best people in the universe. In case you didn't know by her name, she's a yoga teacher, so of course we dive into her life a bit! We talk her beginnings in the world of yoga, and how its helped her over the years (me as well). We get into the misconceptions of the name "trap yoga' and how it effects the way people tend to diminish her formal yoga education because of it. We discuss the difficulties of being a black woman in the yoga/fitness industry, how representation in that field is important, and why what she does matters SO much. She's helped me in ways I never would have imagined and I really love this chick. If you don't know her YOU WILL TOO when this is over!
