Welcome to another episode of The Hormone Heartbeat Podcast! Today we are talking about Jannette's infertility journey and how she came to discover the Fertility Awareness Method and how to use it to become empowered about her fertility and reproductive health. Jannette is a Registered Nurse with a critical care background. She felt that her medical education did not prepare her for a diagnosis of unexplained infertility from the conventional medicine point of view. At the time she felt relatively healthy and knew there had to be a root cause for my inability to get pregnant. Her quest for answers led her to the wonderful world of body literacy and fertility awareness in a way that was never described in her nursing textbooks. The deeper she dove, the more she realized that this information was not just useful for women trying to avoid pregnancy or trying to achieve pregnancy, but as a way to connect with your body and have a diagnostic tool to use to advocate for yourself with your doctors!
